Shawn Thornton was banged up early in Saturday's game against Ottawa. He was able to finish the game and played through the pain on Sunday. - Boston Globe
Before Sunday's game, the Hurricanes called up Justin Peters and scratched Cam Ward's backup, Manny Legace, with vision problems. - News Observer

Lamoriello said Patrik Elias (concussion) was examined by a neurologist late last week and is "progressing" but indicated there is no timetable for his return. Ryan Parent needs back surgery to have a disk fragment removed from his lumbar spine. The surgery will keep the 22-year-old out of action for an additional six weeks. He has missed the last 14 games with the injury. - Philadelphia Inquirer
Dan Bylsma said Marc-Andre Fleury is a 'real possibility' to play Monday against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. He last played Jan. 14 at Edmonton, where his left ring finger was fractured when a shot awkwardly hit his glove. Fleury plans to wear a new glove, designed with additional padding to protect his injury, upon his return. Max Talbot (undisclosed/lower-body injury) did not play against Philadelphia and is "probably more day-to-day" according to Bylsma. Super entertaining game between STL and Calgary, two teams leaving it all on the ice as they fight for a playoff position.
Calgary loses at home to STL 2-0 and puts the Ducks that much closer to 8th, especially if they take care of business tomorrow 
Maybe we left a bitter taste in the Blues mouth so they went out and took it to the Flames. Either way, we benefit!
