edm.png G Devan Dubnyk has been sent to Springfield (AHL), while G Bryan Pitton has been recalled from Stockton (ECHL). In order for Dubnyk to be able to play in the AHL during the Olympic break, he needs to play more games down in Springfield, which was the reason the Oilers sent him down. - Edmonton Sun

min.png G Anton Khudobin is to make his first NHL start Saturday when Minnesota plays host to the Flyers. He made his NHL debut after Josh Harding was injured in Thursday's win over Edmonton. Starter Niklas Backstrom, on injured reserve, has battled back issues and an illness the past two weeks. It will be at least another couple of days before he's back into game shape. - Star Tribune

mon.png The team recalled Ryan White, David Desharnais and Brock Trotter from Hamilton (AHL) on Friday. D Marc-Andre Bergeron will not play in either of this weekend's games. Trotter will make his NHL debut on Saturday against Pittsburgh. Montreal's fourth line has a combined total of 15 games of NHL experience. All 4 of Saturday's lines has at least one player who started the season in Hamilton. - TSN

D Danny Syvret (left shoulder separation) and Ryan Parent (back surgery) are expected to be back in the lineup after the Olympic break.
