Defenceman Fedor Tyutin (bruised left knee) is likely to return Wednesday against San Jose. He missed the Buffalo game after being struck by a puck late in the previous game. The team activated centre Mike Ribeiro from injured reserve on Monday. Ribeiro missed 15 games after undergoing a procedure to repair a throat contusion, which included a tracheotomy. General manager Ken Holland said he's optimistic forwards Tomas Holmstrom and Drew Miller will both be ready when the Red Wings next play Tuesday at St. Louis. Holmstrom suffered a bruised left knee Saturday at Los Angeles, and Miller took a shot off the left ankle. Neither finished the game. Patrick Eaves also left early after spraining his left ankle, and Holland said it’s less likely Eaves will play Tuesday. The Flyers did not skate Sunday, but goaltender Ray Emery was hard at work skating. Paul Holmgren said on Saturday that this current hip injury is unrelated to his abdominal tear.
